Giving you a vivid viewing experience: The Droid DNA for Verizon

If you are a big fan of high screen resolution on your phone, the Droid DNA by HTC will give you exactly what you want.  Its 1080p screen makes videos come alive and text easier than ever to read.

A high resolution screen is not the only thing the Droid DNA has to offer.  Its design is super sleek and has red accent stripes that really make the phone stand out.  The rest of the design of the phone is fairly standard.  Theres a headphone jack and power button on the top of the phone, a volume button on the right, and a micro USB port on the bottom edge.  It has an 8 MP front facing camera and 2 MP rear facing camera.  The front facing camera does a great job taking quick snapshots and runs on the same interface as the HTC One+ meaning it can take super-fast burst photos and also capture images while recording.  Although the phone is relatively large at 5.6 inches tall x 2.7 inches wide, it remains extremely thin which allows it to still be easily placed in your pocket.

For hardware, the DNA is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core processor and 2 GB of RAM.  This makes it extremely fast and able to speed through anything that gets thrown at it.  The DNA comes running Android 4.1 which also adds to a fluid experience with the phone.   It has up to 16 GB of internal storage, but unfortunately has no option for expandable memory through the use of SD cards.  On this note, it also does not have a removable battery which eliminates the possibility of swapping it out when it starts to die.  You should be able to manage with 16 GB, but if you like to have music or videos on your phone, then you could run into a problem with space.

Now for the DNA’s main selling point, its 1080p screen.  It has a resolution of 1,920 x 1080 pixels on its 5 inch screen making it great for watching movies and shows on the go.  There is a noticeable difference when viewing it next to lower resolution phones.  This higher resolution takes a toll on battery life and while the DNA will get you through a day of average usage, people who find themselves on their phone a lot during the day should carry an extra charger with them just in case.

The DNA provides for a great viewing experience and a plethora of features that all add up to create a great phone.  While the DNA is perfect for almost any user, if you are a media feign and want to have the best experience around, the DNA is definitely for you.
