Sensational addition to T-Mobile lineup

HTC Sensation

My experience with the T-Mobile’s HTC Sensation was almost problem free, with my only main gripe being the phones battery life.

The design of the phone was impressive.  The back cover is made of aluminum and it wraps up the sides of the phone.  This one piece backing makes the structure of the phone sturdy and also helps protect it from falls and drops.  The back also had two triangles of plastic coating gave a slip free grip when holding the phone.  The side left side of the phone has a volume rocker and charge port while the top side has the lock/unlock button and headphone jack.  The bottom bezel of the phone features touch sensitive android buttons for home, settings, back, and search.

The Sensation’s performance was impressive.  The 1.2 GHz processor was enough to make sure that you’re not waiting around for apps to load.  When using the phone, the screen provides good visuals and sharp resolution.  Reading on websites was a breeze and movies came in crystal clear.  Also its 8MP camera was perfect for a few quick snapshots or videos.  It is easily accessible from the lock screen by dragging the icon to the unlock ring.  This will open the camera and skip the home screen.  There are 4 favorites that can be set and customized to any app that you choose.

On the hardware side, not much more could be asked for except better battery life.  I was lucky if I was able to get through the work day without having to recharge the phone.  This may only be a minor inconvenience if you have access to a charger throughout the day, but if not and you’re on the go for the majority of the day, this may not be your best bet.  This was unfortunate, but other than that, I really enjoyed using the Sensation.
