Vudu Box

What is black, shiny and idles at 5400 rpm? Not my brand
new sports car but the ingenious digital video store in a box, The
Vudu. Within minutes of following the easy-to-install instructions i
was watching one of my favorite movies “das leben der anderen” (Lives
of Others) by Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck. The Vudu Box offers
access to thousands of movies, and with a high speed internet
connection they can be watched on demand. A 4 Mbps connection is need
for instant HD viewing, and a 2 Mbps connection for instant SD viewing.
If you have a broadband connection, you are golden.

However the
Vudu Box is more than just looks. It packs an RF remote, not like
conventional infrared remotes you can be standing anywhere- in a
different room, downstairs, and the signal will go though. The remote
is fabulous if you aim for a no show TV setup.

What’s In the Box:

Originaly the Vudu was setup with my 46” Sony Bravia HD TV, the movies were as clear as could be. Hair look textured, and no skin blemish was able to escape. Unfortunatley my college budjet does not allow for the same TV in my apartment. Currentley the Vudu is workign with a 23” Sony Trinitron. Though it is not remotely close to HD, the standard definition movies still were DVD quality. Overall the Vudu could work in a variety of entertain ment setups from the simple basics to the more extrogavent setups, the Vudu box is for everyone.
