ALL-CONFERENCE TEAMS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

LOWELL, Mass. \u2013<\/strong> Announced Wednesday by the league office, University at Albany baseball players Brian Bullard<\/a> and Evan Harasta<\/a> have earned all-conference honors for the 2014 season. Bullard was named to the America East\u2019s first team, while Harasta was named to the second team and to the all-academic squad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Brian Bullard<\/a>, a senior from West Nyack, N.Y., led the team with a .329 batting average and 30 runs. Bullard ripped 11 doubles, two home runs, and logged 20 runs batted in this spring. In conference play, Bullard tied for third in the America East with a .382 clip, including eight doubles, and13 RBIs. A mainstay at second base throughout his career, Bullard is a three-time all-conference honoree, earning second team honors in 2012 and was named to the all-rookie team in 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n

Evan Harasta<\/a>, a sophomore from Webster, N.Y., boasted a .314 batting average with a conference-best .484 on-base percentage this season. Splitting time between designated hitter and catcher, Harasta drew a league-high 38 walks, while recording 28 RBIs, 19 runs, seven doubles, and two home runs. In America East games, Harasta batted .338, including a walk-off three-run home run in the Great Danes\u2019 series win over UMass Lowell. In addition, Harasta earned all-academic honors, excelling in the classroom with a 3.31 cumulative GPA in biology. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany finished the season with a 12-33 overall record and 7-17 mark in the America East.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
