Lyle, Miles and Ty Thompson Named to 27-Man Iroquois Nationals Roster<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Iroquois Nationals 27-Man Roster (Inside Lacrosse)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

ROOSEVELTOWN, N.Y. \u2013<\/strong> UAlbany men\u2019s lacrosse players Lyle Thompson<\/a><\/strong>, Miles Thompson<\/a><\/strong> and Ty Thompson<\/a><\/strong> have been selected to the 27-man roster of the Iroquois Nationals for the 2014 FIL World Lacrosse Championships in July.<\/span><\/p>\n

The three earned their place on the Iroquois Nationals roster after being named to the training roster in March.\u00a0 The current 27-man roster will be lowered to 23 before the tournament begins.\u00a0 Miles and Lyle Thompson represent the Onondaga Nation, while Ty Thompson represents the Mohawk Nation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The trio will be joined by Miles and Lyle\u2019s brothers Jerome and Jeremy Thompson on the roster.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Iroquois Nationals will play in the Blue Division, which will pit them against the United States, Canada, England, Japan and Australia.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Federation of International Lacrosse Games will be held in Denver from July 10 through the 19th<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The three Thompsons will not be the only people affiliated with UAlbany lacrosse to play in the World Games in July.\u00a0 Brothers Riley Lasda<\/a><\/strong> and Eli Lasda<\/a><\/strong> will suit up for the Team Latvia, while assistant coach Eric Wolf<\/a><\/strong> will serve in the same capacity for the Israeli National Team.<\/span><\/p>\n
