{"id":1321,"date":"2012-05-27T10:15:24","date_gmt":"2012-05-27T14:15:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/blog\/?p=1321"},"modified":"2013-07-24T19:10:34","modified_gmt":"2013-07-24T19:10:34","slug":"one-of-htcs-first-phones-for-ice-cream-sandwich-htc-one-x","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/one-of-htcs-first-phones-for-ice-cream-sandwich-htc-one-x\/","title":{"rendered":"One of HTC&#8217;s first phones for Ice Cream Sandwich: HTC One X"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">HTC One X<\/h1>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/images8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1323 aligncenter\" title=\"images\" src=\"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/images8.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"344\" height=\"257\" \/><\/a>The HTC One X is one of AT&amp;T\u2019s highest quality Android phones available.\u00a0 Its combination of advanced hardware, top of the line software, and 4G speeds are sure to keep users satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>The One X has a smooth design with rounded corners and a sturdy construction.\u00a0 The phone is all one piece, with the only removable part being a micro SIM card slot on the top of the phone.\u00a0 While this improves the phone\u2019s build, it makes it so that you can\u2019t swap out your battery if it dies or if it begins to not hold its charge.\u00a0 The left side of the phone has a micro USB port and the right side has the volume rocker, both of which are designed to protrude as little as possible from the phone in order to complement its sleek edges.\u00a0 On top, you have the lock\/unlock button and headphone jack which follow the same idea.\u00a0 The base of the screen has three buttons for back, home, and multi-tasking.\u00a0 The latter brings up screens of recently used apps and pages allowing you to switch back and forth quickly.\u00a0 All of these buttons are touch sensitive.<\/p>\n<p>The One X runs on Android\u2019s latest operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich, which is complimented by HTC\u2019s own OS, Sense 4.\u00a0 HTC\u2019s Sense is slimmed down compared to earlier versions and meshes much better with Android, cutting out a lot of their useless features that did little to improve the usability of the phone itself.\u00a0 On the hardware side, the phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual core processor with 1 GB of RAM.\u00a0 These do a great job of keeping apps running seamlessly and loading web pages fast, even when juggling more than one task at once.\u00a0 HTC also incorporates Beats Audio into the phone across all applications, which helps to produce better audio quality every where on the phone.\u00a0 Unfortunately there&#8217;s not much room for music and movies with the One X&#8217;s 16 GB of internal memory with no SD card slot for expansion.\u00a0 You can however get an extra 25 GB online storage free for 2 years with HTC&#8217;s Dropbox.<\/p>\n<p>The One X also has a new improved camera interface.\u00a0 The camera program itself starts extremely fast, helping you to catch those unanticipated photo opportunities that present themselves.\u00a0 They also have added several new options like panorama shots and fun visual effects and filters that you can apply to your photos before or after taking them.\u00a0 The camera itself is 8 MP and the photos that it takes are vibrant and clear.\u00a0 It also records in 1080p and allows you to capture pictures while recording, without having to stop your video.<\/p>\n<p>With the One X, you don\u2019t have to worry too much about the phone not making it through the day.\u00a0 Average use can get you through around 10 hours with no problem.\u00a0 4G LTE speeds also work great on the phone and help it to keep up with user\u2019s busy lifestyles.\u00a0 It would have been nice to see the phone come with a quad core processor like other countries\u2019 variants of the phone has, but fortunately I never had an issue with speed and average smartphone users would probably get minimal benefit and have to deal with a lower battery life.<\/p>\n<h3>Grab yours now:<\/h3>\n<h3><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wireless.att.com\/cell-phone-service\/cell-phone-details\/?device=HTC+One+%28TM%29+X+-+White&amp;q_sku=sku5980268#fbid=caS63lD_K1Y\">AT&amp;T.com: $199.99<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B007UOIOV6\/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=9490-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=B007UOIOV6&tag=luupwebsite-20\">Amazon.com: $119.99<\/a><\/h3>\n<h3>This review and many more brought to you by TechiTeens Technology Services.
