The world\u2019s first projected movie screening takes place at the\u00a0Salon Indien at the Grand Caf\u00e9<\/a>\u00a0in Paris,\u00a0France. The makeshift theater uses the\u00a0Cin\u00e9matographe<\/a>\u00a0created by the Lumi\u00e8re Brothers<\/a>, one of the earliest motion picture projectors in history. Thirty-three people attend at the\u00a0admission\u00a0price of one franc each to view 10 films at about 50 seconds each. The first film,\u00a0La Sortie des ouvriers de l\u2019usine Lumi\u00e8re<\/a>, was created especially for the occasion. It\u00a0shows\u00a0workers leaving the Lumi\u00e8res\u2019 factory in Lyon by foot, by\u00a0bicycle, and by car.<\/p>\n
