{"id":14006,"date":"2015-12-18T15:12:03","date_gmt":"2015-12-18T15:12:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/razer-leviathan-mini-release-date-price-and-specs-cnet\/"},"modified":"2015-12-18T15:12:03","modified_gmt":"2015-12-18T15:12:03","slug":"razer-leviathan-mini-release-date-price-and-specs-cnet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/razer-leviathan-mini-release-date-price-and-specs-cnet\/","title":{"rendered":"Razer Leviathan Mini Release Date, Price and Specs &#8211; CNET"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"contentBody\" section=\"mncol\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/dc6a3__razer-leviathan-mini-01.jpg\" class=\"c1\" alt=\"\" height=\"433\" width=\"770\" itemprop=\"image\"\/><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Everybody seems to be making portable Bluetooth speakers these days and Razer, known for its gaming devices and accessories, has joined the crown with the <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&#038;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.razerzone.com%2Fgaming-audio%2Frazer-leviathan-mini\" target=\"_blank\" data-component=\"externalLink\">Leviathan Mini<\/a> ($  180, \u20ac199.99).<\/p>\n<p>The company sent over a couple of early units &#8212; yes, you can pair two of them together &#8212; and the Leviathan Mini sounds good for its size However, I&#8217;m not sure it does anything to outclass the competition, which includes such speakers as the <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&#038;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnet.com%2Fproducts%2Fbose-soundlink-mini-ii%2F\" target=\"_blank\">Bose SoundLink Mini II<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&#038;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnet.com%2Fproducts%2Fue-boom-2%2F\" target=\"_blank\">UE Boom 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The speaker is 3.34 inches (185mm) wide, 2.12 inches (54mm) deep, 2.16 inches (55 mm) high and weighs 1.18 pounds (538g). It includes a carrying case &#8212; a nice extra &#8212; and an integrated microphone for cell-phone calls. Battery life is rated at 10 hours and Bluetooth range is the typical 33 feet\/10m. Bluetooth 4.0 is on board.<\/p>\n<div class=\"originalImage\" data-open=\"modal\" data-target=\"#f7ff7efd-0d4f-4ad2-b9fb-ff1f1ae1f34c\" data-component=\"modalEnlargeImage\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/dc6a3__razer-leviathan-mini-05.jpg\" class=\"\" alt=\"razer-leviathan-mini-05.jpg\" itemprop=\"image\" height=\"578\" width=\"770\"\/><a class=\"clickToEnlarge\"><button type=\"submit\" class=\"searchButton\" value=\"Search\"><a class=\"clickToEnlarge\"><span>Enlarge Image<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/button><\/a><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"caption\">Leviathan Mini is a well-designed portable Bluetooth speaker but a little pricey.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"credit\">Sarah Tew\/CNET<\/span><\/p>\n<p>In all, it seems like a well-designed mini <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&#038;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnet.com%2Ftopics%2Fspeakers%2Fbest-speakers%2Fbluetooth%2F\" data-is-autolink=\"true\">Bluetooth speaker<\/a>, but like all these compact speakers it can only deliver so much bass and tends to reduce its volume a bit when confronted with too much bass or complicated tracks in order to avoid distorting.<\/p>\n<p>Razer also sells a full-size Leviathan <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&#038;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnet.com%2Ftopics%2Fspeakers%2Fbest-speakers%2Fsound-bars%2F\" data-is-autolink=\"true\">soundbar<\/a> that delivers 5.1 virtual surround. However, the Mini is just a portable Bluetooth speaker and I think Razer will have to bring its price down to get any traction in thw highly competitive Bluetooth speaker market.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/redirect.viglink.com?key=11fe087258b6fc0532a5ccfc924805c0&#038;u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.razerzone.com%2Fgaming-audio%2Frazer-leviathan-mini\" target=\"_blank\"
