{"id":2537,"date":"2013-05-06T01:56:52","date_gmt":"2013-05-06T01:56:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/?post_type=reviews&#038;p=2537"},"modified":"2013-07-25T14:28:58","modified_gmt":"2013-07-25T14:28:58","slug":"giving-you-a-vivid-viewing-experience-the-droid-dna-for-verizon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.techiteens.com\/review\/giving-you-a-vivid-viewing-experience-the-droid-dna-for-verizon\/","title":{"rendered":"Giving you a vivid viewing experience: The Droid DNA for Verizon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you are a big fan of high screen resolution on your phone, the Droid DNA by HTC will give you exactly what you want.\u00a0 Its 1080p screen makes videos come alive and text easier than ever to read.<\/p>\n<p>A high resolution screen is not the only thing the Droid DNA has to offer.\u00a0 Its design is super sleek and has red accent stripes that really make the phone stand out.\u00a0 The rest of the design of the phone is fairly standard.\u00a0 Theres a headphone jack and power button on the top of the phone, a volume button on the right, and a micro USB port on the bottom edge.\u00a0 It has an 8 MP front facing camera and 2 MP rear facing camera.\u00a0\u00a0The front facing camera does a great job taking quick snapshots and runs on the same interface as the HTC One+ meaning it can take super-fast burst photos and also capture images while recording.\u00a0\u00a0Although the phone is relatively large at 5.6 inches tall x 2.7 inches wide, it remains extremely thin which allows it to still be easily placed in your pocket.<\/p>\n<p>For hardware, the DNA is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core processor and 2 GB of RAM.\u00a0 This makes it extremely fast and able to speed through anything that gets thrown at it. \u00a0The DNA comes running Android 4.1 which also adds to a fluid experience with the phone. \u00a0 It has up to 16 GB of internal storage, but unfortunately has no option for expandable memory through the use of SD cards.\u00a0\u00a0On this note, it also does not have a removable battery which eliminates the possibility of swapping it out when it starts to die.\u00a0\u00a0You should be able to manage with 16 GB, but if you like to have music or videos on your phone, then you could run into a problem with space.<\/p>\n<p>Now for the DNA\u2019s main selling point, its 1080p screen.\u00a0\u00a0It has a resolution of 1,920 x 1080 pixels on its 5 inch screen making it great for watching movies and shows on the go.\u00a0\u00a0There is a noticeable difference when viewing it next to lower resolution phones.\u00a0\u00a0This higher resolution takes a toll on battery life and while the DNA will get you through a day of average usage, people who find themselves on their phone a lot during the day should carry an extra charger with them just in case.<\/p>\n<p>The DNA provides for a great viewing experience and a plethora of features that all add up to create a great phone. \u00a0While the DNA is perfect for almost any user, if you are a media feign and want to have the best experience around, the DNA is definitely for you.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you are a big fan of high screen resolution on your phone, the Droid DNA by HTC will give you exactly what you want.\u00a0 Its 1080p screen makes videos come alive and text easier than ever to read.
