With a tablet, majority of users are looking for a device that is easy to carry and responds fluidly.\u00a0 The Lenovo Ideatab S2110A is super sleek with its all black casing and textured back.\u00a0 Its light weight design also makes it very easy to travel with while providing you with the essentials you need in a tablet.\u00a0 It does have some design flaws however that prevent it from being the top tablet.<\/p>\n
The design is very simple.\u00a0 It has a mini HDMI slot, headphone jack, and SIM card slot on the left side, volume rocker on the right, mini USB on the bottom, and power button on top.\u00a0 The mini USB on the bottom of the tablet allows you to use the optional keyboard dock for the tablet which adds in several more features such as USB ports, an SD card slot, and its own battery which greatly increases the time between charges.\u00a0 The back has a 5 MP camera with flash and the front-facing camera is 1.3 MP.<\/p>\n
A major design flaw is that because the tablet is light weight, the materials used in the casing feel flimsy.\u00a0 Even when using the tablet normally, pressure points form on the tablet which cause dark spots, similar to when you press directly on a laptop screen, to form on the screen.\u00a0 If you are extremely careful, you can avoid the issue, but that doesn\u2019t change the fact that they shouldn\u2019t be present in the first place.<\/p>\n
Performance wise, the Ideatab was impressive.\u00a0 With 1 GB of RAM and a 1.5 GHz processor, it was able to handle movies and games with ease.\u00a0 Its LCD screen was also very bright and provided for very detailed viewing.\u00a0 The tablet is running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which isn\u2019t the newest version, but provides for a good experience nonetheless.<\/p>\n
Lenovo provides a solid package with the S2110A.\u00a0 Using the dock is provides for convenient typing and the additional ports and battery life is nice as well.\u00a0 Although it would\u2019ve been good to have a MicroSD card slot on the tablet for expandable memory, the 16GB of storage should be enough for average users.\u00a0 Unfortunately, what may end up being a deal breaker for some are the pressure spots that form during use, so it\u2019ll be good to keep that in mind when considering the Ideatab.<\/p>\n
