SEASON STATS<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

CAMBRIDGE, MASS.-<\/strong>\u00a0No. 11 UAlbany field hockey\u2019s Daphne Voormolen was named America East\u2019s Player of the Week when the league announced awards on Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n

Voormolen scored four goals and tallied three assists in a 3-0 week for the Great Danes (8-0). The senior scored two goals and two assists in a 6-0 win against Siena, notched one goal and one assist against Lafayette on the road and scored one goal against Lehigh.<\/span><\/p>\n

Voormolen has now scored 40 goals in her career. With her two goals against Siena she passed Christina Patrick and Michelle Simpson on the all-time career scoring list to rank third. The forward needs two more goals to pass UAlbany Hall of Fame member Amy Di Micco, who was inducted in 2012.<\/span><\/p>\n

The senior is the fourth Great Dane to earn America East weekly honors this season.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany returns to Alumni Field on Friday, Sept. 27 to face Sacred Heart at 3 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
