FINAL RESULTS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. \u2013<\/strong> Leading the University at Albany women\u2019s golf team to a fifth-place finish at the second annual St. John\u2019s Invitational, junior Victoria Choi<\/a> tied for fourth-place individually in the 65-player field.<\/span><\/p>\n

Choi\u2019s 75 (+3), despite a blustery and stormy opening round, tied for the best performance of the day. In Tuesday\u2019s final round, Choi carded a 78 (+6) to finish with a total of 153 (+9) in the tournament. In the closely competitive field, she finished just three strokes behind the invitational\u2019s champion, Rachel Carpenter (150) from St. John\u2019s.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As a team, the Great Danes totaled 656, taking 10 strokes off their first day score with a 323 on Tuesday. In the 12-team tournament, the hosting Red Storm (617) took the title, while Siena (630) and LIU Brooklyn (634) rounded out the top-three.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also competing for UAlbany, Sam Schuffenecker<\/a> improved 10 strokes from day one to two, tying for 22nd overall with a mark of 164. Freshman Paige Fujihara<\/a> finished with a 168, followed by senior Lisa Agoglia<\/a> (173) and Rosalee Hearns<\/a> (174).<\/span><\/p>\n

Up next, UAlbany will compete in the Rutgers Invitational Oct. 14-15, marking the team\u2019s final fall tournament.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
