Master Lock has introduced another lock designed for bicycle use. The 6.5 1\/8 x 8 inch U-lock is ideal for securing the wheel of your bike to its frame. The carrier bracket is easy enough to install and adjusts to multiple size frames. The body of the lock is composed of hardened steel that\u2019s resistant to simple sawing. Good thing you are given an extra key or you\u2019ll have to get out the propane torch to get this one off.<\/p>\n

Master Lock keys seem to be missing the same sturdiness of its complement. The previous version of the lock was notorious for broken keys. They seem to have fixed the problem, both the key and mechanism seeming very sturdy. At no time did I feel the lock or key was in danger of breaking.<\/p>\n

Your bike is definitely worth the $15-20 investment to prevent a total loss. Overall, the Master Lock 8170D Fusion U-Lock does its job for a great price, for pricier bikes, I\u2019d suggest going for the street cuffs or something similar.<\/p>\n
