UAlbany Women\u2019s Basketball Enters Conference Play Ranked #10 in Mid-Major Poll<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

College Insider Women\u2019s Mid-Major Top 25<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

ALBANY, N.Y. \u2013<\/strong> The Great Danes will go into America East play as one of the top mid-major teams in the country, earning a #10 ranking in the latest College Insider Mid-Major Poll.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany has spent the last six weeks ranked as a top-10 mid-major, going as high as #4 in the poll after starting the season at #22.\u00a0 The team continues to be the highest-ranked America East school and top mid-major in the state of New York in the poll.<\/span><\/p>\n

The team picked up 478 points in the voting.\u00a0 No other America East school earned a ranking in the mid-major poll.\u00a0 In-state rival Stony Brook received two points.<\/span><\/p>\n

Undefeated San Diego is #1 in the poll with 30 out of 31 first-place votes and 768 points.\u00a0 In second is Gonzaga with 712 points.\u00a0 Three other New York teams are ranked: Marist, which UAlbany defeated in November, is at 15th<\/sup>, while Iona and St. Francis Brooklyn are at #21 and #25 respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany will have two road games before the next poll comes out, taking on Vermont on Thursday and Hartford on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
