Shereesha Richards Earns Third ECAC DI Metro\/Upstate Player of the Week Honor<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

ECAC Players of the Week (1\/23\/14)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

CENTREVILLE, Mass.<\/strong> \u2013 For the second week in a row and third time this season, Shereesha Richards was selected as the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I Metro\/Upstate Player of the Week for the period ending January 19th<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Richards, who earned her eighth America East Player of the Week last period, has been named the ECAC DI Metro\/Upstate Player of the Week three out of six chances.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ECAC encompasses 88 Division I schools on the East Coast from Virginia to Maine, including major conference and mid-major programs.\u00a0 The University at Albany is in the ECAC\u2019s Metro\/Upstate region.<\/span><\/p>\n

The sophomore forward earned a pair of double-doubles in America East victories, setting a new UAlbany record for double-doubles with 11, a record she surpassed in the next game.\u00a0 She averaged 21 points and 10.5 rebounds in the two contests, helping keep UAlbany undefeated in America East play.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Great Danes will next play on Tuesday, January 28th<\/sup> at 7 p.m., hosting UMBC at SEFCU Arena.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
