USILA Coaches Poll (1\/27)<\/a> | Warrior DI Media Poll (1\/27)<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

BALTIMORE \u2013<\/strong> UAlbany men\u2019s lacrosse will start the 2014 season ranked #10 in the USILA DI Coaches Poll and #11 in the Warrior DI Media Poll.<\/span><\/p>\n

Along with its #10-ranking in the Lacrosse Magazine<\/em> preseason rankings, UAlbany will start the year in the top-10 in that and the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division I Coaches Polls, also starting #11 in the Warrior Division I Media Poll, run by Inside Lacrosse<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Great Danes are already making headlines this season after winning the America East in 2013 with the top scoring offense in Division I, with all three All-Americans, Lyle Thompson<\/a><\/strong>, Miles Thompson<\/a><\/strong> and Ty Thompson<\/a><\/strong>, returning for 2014.\u00a0 UAlbany is gracing the covers of both Inside Lacrosse<\/em> and Lacrosse Magazine<\/em> this month.<\/span><\/p>\n

In each poll, UAlbany is the lone America East team in the rankings.\u00a0 The team got 145 points in the USILA Poll (13 voters) for #10 and 192 points in the Media Poll (19 voters).\u00a0 Last season, UAlbany received votes in both polls, going as high as #10 until finishing the season at #12.<\/span><\/p>\n

The team\u2019s first opponent, Syracuse, is #1 in the USILA Poll and #2 in the Media Poll to reigning NCAA champion Duke.\u00a0 Future UAlbany opponents that are ranked include Penn State (#9 USILA\/#7 Media) and Johns Hopkins (#11\/13), while Stony Brook, Harvard, Drexel, UMass and Bryant received points in both polls.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
