UAlbany WBB Advances to #6 in Mid-Major Poll<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

College Insider Women\u2019s Mid-Major Top 25<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

ALBANY, N.Y.<\/strong> \u2013 Continuing its undefeated America East season, UAlbany has moved up to #6 in the College Insider Women\u2019s Mid-Major Poll.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany got 534 points in the poll to earn its highest-ranking since early December, when the team was ranked #4.\u00a0 The team has been ranked in the top-10 for 10 consecutive weeks since November 26th<\/sup>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Great Danes helped their ranking last week with wins over UMBC, Stony Brook and Vermont.\u00a0 With today\u2019s win over UMass Lowell, the team has won its past 11 games.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany is the only team in the America East that was in the top-25, with New Hampshire receiving a pair of points in the poll.\u00a0 Two other schools in the state of New York, Iona and Marist, are ranked in the top-10 at #8 and #10 respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gonzaga stays at #1 with 28 first-place votes and 769 points.\u00a0 Chattanooga is at #2 and Wichita State stands at #3.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Great Danes next play on Friday at the SEFCU Arena, hosting Hartford at 7 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
