ALBANY, N.Y. \u2013<\/strong> The Great Danes go for their 37th<\/sup>-straight conference win, trying to match an America East record, on Wednesday, hosting in-state rival Binghamton for a 7 p.m. contest at SEFCU Arena on February 19.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tickets for the game are $ 10 for chairback seats, $ 5 for reserved adult seating and $ 2 for kids and seniors.\u00a0 Faculty and staff may get a ticket free with a ticket purchase, and students enter free with a university ID.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Great Danes victory would secure at least a share of the America East regular season title and the 37-straight league win, tying the longest streak in America East history.\u00a0 If UAlbany wins on Wednesday and UNH falls to Vermont, UAlbany will clinch the UAlbany, winners of 14-straight, enters at 23-3 overall and 13-0 in-conference after a 58-56 road victory over Maine on Sunday.\u00a0 Binghamton has fallen in 11 games in a row, coming off a 64-46 loss to UNH last Wednesday, to come in a 4-21 overall and 1-11 in the league.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany leads the overall series 26-20 and is tied in DI play 14-14, taking the last six meetings, including a 66-36 road win against the Bearcats on January 20.<\/span><\/p>\n

UAlbany has been second to none in the America East the last three years, winning its last 36 conference games, the longest current conference winning streak in Division I.\u00a0\u00a0 Its last league loss came January 28th, 2012, a 62-55 loss to Hartford.<\/span><\/p>\n

Though her 25-straight double digit-game scoring streak was snapped on Wednesday, Shereesha Richards<\/a><\/strong> still leads the conference with 20.5 points and 9.5 rebounds a game.\u00a0 Also in the post, Megan Craig<\/a><\/strong> has four double-doubles in her last six games, standing with 12.3 points and 5.5 boards a game.\u00a0 Sarah Royals<\/a><\/strong> continues to pull closer to the UAlbany all-time single season assists record, standing with 125, leading the America East with 4.8 a game, just 11 from the UAlbany record.<\/span><\/p>\n

Binghamton is led by its defense, which stands fifth in the America East at 63.4 points allowed a game.\u00a0 As the team, the Bearcats are shooting 33.8% from the field, ninth in the conference.\u00a0 The team\u2019s top player this season is junior forward Sherae Swinson, sporting Binghamton-best averages of 10.2 points and 5.1 boards a contest.\u00a0 Sophomore forward Morgan Murphy shoots 42.9% from the field, averaging 8.3 points and 4.7 rebounds a game.\u00a0 Running the floor is senior guard Stephanie Jensen with three assists a game, shooting 34.1% from three-point range.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
