Senior Allie Phelan and freshman Dakotah Savitcheff led the Great Danes with five goals each.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">After going down 1-0 early, UAlbany went on a 20-goal run. Binghamton failed to score for 46 minutes from the beginning of the first half until mid-way through the second half. UAlbany is now 13-0 all-time against the Bearcats.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Katherine Sweeney tied the game up 1-1 to get UAlbany scoring going. Phelan and Ariana Parker scored unassisted and Sarah Martin converted on a free position shot to give the Purple &amp; Gold a 4-1 lead with 22 minutes left in the first half.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Savitcheff got on the board for the first time with 20 minutes left in the half on a feed from Julie Cryderman. Cryderman finished the game with a career-high five points.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Phelan scored unassisted 30 seconds later, and found Savitcheff at the top of the crease with 15 minutes left in the half to give the Great Danes a 7-1 lead.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Parker, Cryderman and Savitcheff combined for goals and assists on the next four goals to put the Purple &amp; Gold up 11-1. Phelan and Savitcheff scored two more times each before the close of the half to give UAlbany a 15-1 advantage at the break.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Sweeney opened the second half the same way she opened the game, with a goal. Maureen Keggins connected with the sophomore for her ninth goal of the season. Sweeney found the back of the cage thanks to Cryderman nine minutes later for a new career high in goals with three.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Cryderman, Martin, Parker and Phelan added to their goal totals to conclude scoring. Freshman Lee Stewart also scored her first career goal on a free position attempt late in the second half.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">Phelan\u2019s five goals and six points mark new single-game career highs for the senior. The Great Danes won by 20 goals or more for the first time since a 23-1 victory over Niagara in March of 2011.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"c25\">John Battaglino\u2019s squad committed a season-low seven turnovers against the Bearcats and took a 16-10 advantage on draw controls.
