ROUND<\/span> ONE RESULTS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

MORGANTON, N.C. \u2013<\/strong> The University at Albany women\u2019s golf team sits in ninth place out of 13 competing teams after the first round of the Mimosa Hills Intercollegiate in Morganton, N.C. As a team, the Great Danes shot a 337 (+49) on the day led by junior Victoria Choi<\/a>\u2019s 80 (+8).<\/span><\/p>\n

Individually, Choi is currently tied for 12th<\/sup> place out of 78 total golfers. Freshmen Rosalee Hearns<\/a> (T23) and Paige Fujihara<\/a> (T28) follow closely behind, shooting an 82 and 83, respectively. Graduate student Sam Schuffenecker<\/a> contributed a 92 and senior Lisa Agoglia<\/a> finished with a 94.<\/span><\/p>\n

High Point (313) leads all teams by eight strokes, while Western Carolina (321), Gardener-Webb (322), Bethune Cookman (323), Winthrop (325), Wofford (330), Towson (333), Presbyterian (336), UAlbany (337), and Appalachian State (338) are battling side-by-side in the middle of the field, heading into day two.<\/span><\/p>\n

The tournament will conclude on Monday with a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
