A computer gets anti-virus, a human takes medication, and cellphones get cases but what is there to protect what is most precious to us, our identity? The ACM wallet, is both a money clip and a guard to its owner’s identity. How?

Today, most major credit card companies are integrating RFID chips into their cards. Basically, the integrated micro chips broadcast the card’s information for a wireless receiver to pick up. The idea for this idea is to make transactions faster and more secure. To purchase a soda, the user would hold the card over the cashier or where the receiver is and the charge would be applied.

Just as easily as the reliable merchant can charge your card, so could a would be thief with a RFID receiver that could be bought off eBay for as little at $8. The ACM wallet prevents such scammers from scanning your cards. Not only will it prevent thiefs from scanning your cards, the ACM wallet also manages either six or twelve cards depending on which model you purchase.

All ACM wallets do have a money clip to securly hold money, business cards or even shopping lists.

The wallet at first glance is a bit unsettling. It looks a bit bulky and over complicated to hold money, but like any new wallet, getting used to the ACM wallet took only a few hours. To test the wallet’s usability three TechiTeens employee’s were given an ACM wallet for a period of three weeks to use as their primary wallet.

At the end the concensious among the employees were the same; the ACM wallet is not recommend to replace your dominant wallet. Instead, remove the money clip and use it exclusively for your credit cards and other items that need a safe spot. The wallet’s sturdy construction makes sure anything placed inside of it stays firm and unbent- perfect for a drivers license, social security card, business cards or whatever else you can fit ino it. If you would rather carry the wallet on you at all
times consider purchasing the slimmer six card model. We recommend carrying the wallet in either your front pants pocket or in a bag/jacket because the ACM wallet did make sitting down with it in the rear pocket uncomfortable.
